16. In an experiment,a variety of garden peas having a smooth seed coat was crossed with a variety having a wrinkled seed coat.All the seeds obtained in F1 had a smooth seed coat.The F1 generation was selfed.The number of F1 generation was 7324.
a) Using appropriate letter symbols,work out the genotypes of the F1 generation.
b) From the information above,work out the following for the F2 generation.
1) Genotypic ratio.
2) The total number of wrinkled seeds.
3) Phenotypic ratio. (10mks)

17.A couple with normal color vision had a color blind son Ali,and two normal daughters Edith and Grace .Ali had a daughter with a normal color vision. Edith had two sons, one color blind and the other had a normal color vision. What are the probable genotypes of the parents, their children and their grandchildren? Explain how you arrived at your conclusions; use a pedigree diagram to represent these genotypes. (10mks)
