- Each of your essays must not exceed 450 words
- All answers to be written in the answer booklet provided.

1. Imaginative composition (compulsory)
Either
(a) Write a composition to illustrate the saying:
“A fool and his money are soon parted”
Or
(b) Write a story ending with the following statement:
I wish I had known earlier. (20mks)

2. The compulsory set text (20mks)

3. Either

Describe Odie’s character, showing how he reveals themes in the play. (20mks)

(c) The Novel

By drawing illustrations from Velma Pollard’s Homestretch, write an essay on the use of irony in the novel. (20mks)
