QUESTION 1 [30 MARKS]
(a) What is the importance of a primary key in a database application? Explain using an example how a primary key can be applied to a database application. [5 Marks]
(b) Identify and explain three features that are important to consider while purchasing a computer. [6 Marks]
(c) Ann has the following software in her computer: Ms Word, Adobe Acrobat and Mozilla Firefox. John has the following software in his computer: Mc Afee, Ms Access and Ms Word. Identifying the software that enables them to accomplish the particular function, specify between Ann and John, who is able to:

(ii) Develop professional looking reports?
(iii) Scan their machine of harmful software?

(v) Create a budget?

(b) You have captured hundreds of pictures from different parts of the country Kenya with an intention of promoting Kenya as a great tourist destination country. Which Microsoft Office application would you use to create a presentable view of the photos to show to interested parties? Explain the feature in the software you would use and how you would go about achieving this. [10 Marks]

(a) You have been asked by your boss to develop a budget for your organization by use of spreadsheet software. After printing the budget you notice that the vertical and horizontal lines as seen in the Ms Excel software are not visible. Your boss is adamant that these lines must appear.

(ii) How would you go about making sure the lines are visible as your boss requires?
(iii) What is the effect of printing with these lines visible?
