when mobilizing a community. [10 marks]

(b) Clearly discuss at least 4 factors that you need to consider when introducing new
resources into a community project or a program. [8 marks]

(c) Elaborate four importance of community mobilization in development.

Q3. (a) Giving clear examples, examine the rationale of mobilizing poor and vulnerable
groups in Kenya. [12 marks]

(b) Discuss the role of gatekeepers in mobilizing the community. [8 marks]


Q4. Many development agencies are now turning away from the concept of the begging
bowl, whether with regard to international or local donors. In their effort to attain
sustainability and reliance, some NGOs are now becoming involved in their own
income generating activities which are then reinvested into community development.

(a) Clearly examine at least 6 income generating activities an NGO can get
involved in, to generate resources for implementing community projects.
