6. John, a Kamba and a form four graduate is a driver of a medical doctor in Nairobi who is an Indian. Apart from ferrying his boss, he also transports the boss’s children to and from school in Nairobi’s upper market area. John himself lives in the eastern part of Nairobi, occupied mainly by the low-income earners. He is a family man with children in primary school. His wife is a Luhya.

Discuss various sociolinguistic concepts and language varieties that would arise from such a scenario as the characters involved go about their businesses. [15 Marks]
