3. Explain how slums develop in an area and suggest interventions that can be applied to clear them. [20 marks]

4. “Urban poverty in Kenya is now so severe that donors, the government of Kenya and NGOs can simply not afford to ignore it”. What are some of the measures being put in place to address the deplorable living conditions of the urban poor in Kenya? [20 marks]
