12.A patient reports to the hospital with fatigue and acute abdominal pain, which upon investigation is established to be emanating from the adrenal gland. Further examination and histology shows that the patient's skin is darkened and that some adrenal cells are damaged.

a.If the skin darkening could be the result of the hormonal imbalance, discuss in detail what leads to this manifestation.

b.Predict which zone of the adrenal gland maybe damaged and explain what can be done to resolve the hormonal imbalance
