Put God first and involve your thoughts into it.Ensure you are a God fearing person and through prayers believe you will increase your chances of making a good decision.

.Understand yourself through self assessment:Before you choose any career you must understand who you are.You can easily do it through your values, interest and attitude. Thereafter,in combination with your personality type, make an occupation a good fit for you and test it completely.By doing this you apply a career test which will finally guide you to the right path.

.Make a list of multiple occupations to explore:By making a list generated by self assessment tool, you open a way to a best occupation.First explore a all list, then select the few ones where your interest and passion relies on and call the new list "my exploring occupations". Secondly, find any occupation on your new list that appeals to be more common and fit for you and identify it.You may also include professions which you don't know much about and on the process of exploring you might learn something good unexpected.

.Explore the occupations:Do research for every occupation on your list and get basic information about them. You can also find out about the job description, training Technic and educational requirements from different sources such as the job trainers and published sources. In addition to that, use labor market information to get data about earnings and job outlook, remember not to choose an occupation due to its increased salary and forget to follow your point of interest on career.

.Make a final list:Narrow Your list based on the research-on-hand.Make sure your list has at least two to three occupations. When eliminating, get rid of any occupation that has weak job outlook, and those that you are unable to fulfill the educational requirements.

.Seek Informational Guidance:When you have your two to three occupations left on your list,do much more research

from experienced people.Arrange to meet with different people who work in the occupation you are interested in.W hen you are fully impacted with the knowledge about your career, access your network and find out where you fit in.

.Make your career choice:Make your final choice on the occupation you want to take.Ensure you take a career that you think will best fit you based on various information you have gathered.Be keen not to take a wrong choice which will lead you to many regrets and finally change the occupation when you are late.

.Identify your target goals:Know your long-term and short-term goals.Example of a short-term goal is to apply to college or university which usually takes three to six months while long-term goals are like the training duration or completion of your education,it takes three to six years.Let your research be the guide and once you have all the information you may need on the way,set your goals.
.Plan your career:Put together all your career ideas on a career action plan in order to achieve your goals.Take it as a success direction that will take you from point A to point B despite of the challenges on the way.Write down all your short-term and long-term goals and the procedure You should follow to attain the success from all.Take note of any barrier that may come across to hijack you and find out the possible solutions to overcome them.
