(a) Explain briefly what is a wireless access point? [3 marks]

(b) Explain the four major functions of a computer system? [4 marks]

(c) Convert the AEF16 to its decimal (base 10) equivalent using double-dibble method. [4 marks]

(d) Explain what you understand by the following terms [4 marks]

iv) Computer Network
(e) Explain any FOUR major functions performed by the operating system software. [4 marks]

(f) What is a search engine and what are the two main types of search approaches? [3 marks]

(g) Electronic mails are a good way to communicate via the Internet. Explain any two security measures you should take when responding to emails. [3 marks]

(h) Explain the terms volatile and non-volatile in relation to computer memory. Give at least two examples of volatile and non-volatile computer memory/storage devices [3 marks]

(c) Are computer networks important in school/learning institutions such as a university? Explain any THREE reasons to support your answer. [5 marks]

(d) The Internet has both advantages and disadvantages in our society. Explain any TWO negative impact brought by the Internet in our society. [4 marks]
