Trainees entering diploma course should have the following minimum requirements:-
Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (K.C.S.E) with a Mean grade of C, or equivalent, and in addition a minimum grade of C in the following: –

Biology and/or Biological Sciences
Chemistry
English or Kiswahili
Mathematics or Physics/Physical Sciences
Or Credit Transfer
A candidate holding a Certificate in Medical Laboratory Sciences from a recognized institution, with at least two years working experience in relevant field.
And Registered by KMLTTB as technician.

COURSE DURATION
The course is designed to take duration of three years distributed as follows: – 4250 contact hours where 2554 hours spent on campus (Classroom and laboratory demonstrations) and 1696 hours are spent on clinical placement.
