As the title of this article states I am writing to all the prospective candidates of the K.C.S.E 2019 on the various tips, that I have personally rather experimented and found them to work efficiently and would enable one to score good grades at the end of the year.

First of all, as all the mentors and teachers say hard work pays, it is true but I am saying that the equation for success equals hard work plus smart thinking which equals guaranteed success.

I think am rather qualified to say this having just finished my form last year with an A- and having to know all the current trends in the exams and all that is required to Ace in all your subjects.

Without wasting time the first tip is group discussion. This has become evident from the way teachers in schools insist on students participating in group works, but today I am going to tell you why it is very important. First of all learning with your peers enables you to use the language that you can express yourself to the fullest regarding a particular concept ensuring that one comprehends it fully. Secondly it saves time as when discussing in groups, unlike learning in the class with the teacher, the coverage of the topic is wide with respect to time.

The second tip is to know the best time for your extra personal reading. As it is know nothing comes without sacrifice. Some people tend to believe that morning hours are better for personal revision, note that this is the time before the stipulated time for preps. I personally think that the time for one's personal studies varies from person to person. This is because for some people if they wake up very early they tend to spend the rest of the

day sleeping throughout the lesson and this is disastrous, it's better you sleep well and concentrate in class. For me I was well suited to extending my personal revision after the night preps and it worked out well for me. So it's up to you to find you right time.

The third thing is to always listen to your teachers. From my experience I tend to believe that teachers have this intuition or instinct to know what is most likely to be tested in the exams, therefore always listen to them and ask them questions regularly.

The last thing is that you must be determined to achieve your goals and must learn to sacrifice things such as a lengthy sleep, trust me you will have it in abundance after finishing school. Always be focused and don't let anything or anyone derail you from your goals. Remember determination is the key to everything.
