1. (a) Define the term colloid. [1 mark]

(b) Briefly describe the composition of two colloids occurring in cells of living organisms. [2 marks]

(c) Give the constituent units f the following molecules:

2. (a) Explain briefly the molecular structural similarity between phospholipids and triglycerides. [3 marks]

3. In respect to plant physiology differentiate between sources and sinks and give two examples for each. [5 marks]
