1. Differentiate between the following [6 marks]

(c) Cladogenesis and anagenesis
(d) Absolute and relative dating
(e) Law of segregation and law of independent assortment.
(f) Positive and negative assortative mating

2. Using various examples, describe the various methods of fossil preservation.

4. Outline the different modes of speciation [4 marks]

5. Give an overview of the various isolating mechanisms in populations. [5 marks]

6. Elaborate the function of the coelom and classify organisms with regards to the type of coelom. [5 marks]

7. Discuss the early theories of evolution giving valid reasons why each was approved or disapproved. [20 marks]
8. Discuss the various adjustments kingdom biology has undergone from two kingdom to six kingdom system. [20 marks]

9. Describe the various combinations of genotypes that nature can select and the ultimate result of each. Give illustrations. [20 marks]
