(a) Explain the following terms as applied in behavioural statistics.

(b) The following scores were obtained from PSYC 141 CAT:

10, 12, 16, 14, 18, 20.

Compute (i) Mean
(ii) Mean Absolute Deviation
(iii) Standard Deviation [10 marks]

(a) The following scores were obtained when a group of 11 infants were weighed
two consecutive times.

Compute the regression equation for the data. [4 marks]

(a) X is normally distributed with mean µ=30 and Standard Deviation = 4.
Find (i) P(x<40) (ii) P(X>21) (iii) P(30<X<35) [6 marks]

Explain any Four types of variables in statistics. [8 marks]

Calculate the Q1 and Q3 quartiles of the following frequency distribution. Also compute Inter-quartile range.

Test whether the students have a preference for movie type (Let a=0.05).
